Ms. White has been an active member of the State Bar of California since 1999 practicing exclusively in the areas of State and Federal criminal defense. She earned her law degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, one of the nation's top rated law schools. Ms. White's unique background makes her a fierce and compassionate advocate for her clients.
Mrs. White is an aggressive and talented attorney who has successfully represented clients accused of both state and federal crimes ranging from DWI/DUI (Federal criminal defense) to murder. She also has extensive experience in defending those accused of sex crimes such as child molestation, rape and pornography.
The cases Mrs. White takes are serious and usually carry very high stakes for the client and their families. That is why Mrs. White is tenacious with prosecutors, exacting in her attention to the details of a case and sensitive in all her interactions with her clients as they face the legal challenges posed by the case together.
Reduced to its essence, Mrs. White's philosophy is that the job of a Defense Attorney is to craft innovative solutions to seemingly insoluble problems. Education and experience, however, are not enough when it comes to being a successful advocate for a client. As an advocate, Mrs. White believes an attorney must also possess the necessary drive and determination for justice and be a true voice for a client's rights. Mrs. White not only possesses that drive and determination for her clients, it is a credo she has practiced throughout her own life.
Mrs. White was born and raised in a small town in Western Canada. Her mother tragically died when Mrs. White was a little girl and she passed into the foster care system in a nearby city. She was tossed from home to home for years, but instead of becoming lost in the system, she decided at the age of twelve-to master it. By the time she was fourteen, she was an emancipated minor and was self-sufficient and financially independent. She graduated from high school at seventeen and worked toward her next goal: emigrating to the United States to attend law school.
Working day and night to support herself, Mrs. White earned her bachelors of arts in philosophy (graduating with honors) and her juris doctorate from the University of California, Los Angeles. During her second year of law school, Mrs. White worked full time as an extern at the Federal Public Defender's office. She also volunteered at the Homeless Youth Shelter in Hollywood helping Legal Aid advise and counsel homeless youth. Since graduating, Mrs. White remained focused and dedicated to the practice of criminal defense, helping achieve justice, not only for those unjustly accused, but for those trapped in a system of prosecutorial misconduct and life's inequality in all it's forms.
To some attorneys, success against overwhelming odds is a fantasy. To Mrs. White, it's all in a day's work.
