Mr. Abel was born and raised in rural Wisconsin. He graduated with a bachelors of business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Texas – Permian Basin where he was the vice-president of the student senate. Emphasizing in business and employment law, he received a juris doctorate and a masters of business administration from Texas Tech University. After practicing law for several years with a mid-size firm in the business transactions and litigation departments he went back to school to finalize his formal education at Southern Methodist University, where he graduated with a masters of laws in federal taxation.

Since 1989 Mr. Abel has represented hundreds and hundreds of clients in a broad array of legal matters, including commercial litigation, personal injury and products liability law, family law, estate planning and probate law, real estate law, business transactional law, employment law and criminal law. He has practiced in state and federal court. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and Texas.

Mr. Abel’s broad background in business and civil litigation places him in a unique position to counsel and aggressively pursue client’s interests, whether that entails the creative structuring and implementation of pre-suit resolution strategies or proceeding into litigation and arguing a client’s case to a jury.
