Emily Luke began working for Couture Law while attending the University of New Mexico School of Law, and was hired as an Associate Attorney upon passing the bar exam.
While in law school, she worked for the Family Court at the 2nd Judicial District Court in Albuquerque, spent time volunteering at New Mexico Legal Aide, and worked as an intern for the US Office of the Solicitor. She earned her Certificate of Indian Law, and was the student articles editor for the Tribal Law Journal. She was a member of the Native American Law Students Association, and the Women's Law Caucus. While in Law School, she received the Joseph J. Mullins Scholarship for demonstrated interest in domestic relations law.
Prior to law school, Emily graduated cum laude with a BA in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. She is a member of the Northern Cheyenne.
