Jay Abramowitch goes to work everyday at Leisawitz Heller expecting his next case is another success story. Jay has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all phases of litigation. His civil trial practice spans over 40 years. Concentrating on personal injury lawsuits and insurance claims in Pennsylvania state and federal trial courts, he is credited with the largest jury verdicts in the history of the Court of Common Pleas of Schuylkill County.
Jay holds membership in the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He has arbitrated many disputes, especially those involving uninsured and underinsured motorists. He lectures frequently on personal injury law.
Jay graduated from Lafayette College with honors, and Dickinson School of Law. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and has been named to America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals and the National Registry of Who’s Who. While his success in the courtroom is widely known, Jay claims the real work occurs behind the scenes. “There isn’t a group of litigators working together in Berks County who prepare the way we do—or know the law better.”
