Bernardo Lopez is an Associate Attorney whose practice is dedicated to criminal defense and post conviction relief.
In the past, Mr. Lopez externed at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as a Certified Law Clerk. While at the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Lopez assisted with misdemeanor and felonies. He conducted many preliminary hearings and participated in the preparation of numerous felony jury trials.
Mr. Lopez's interest in immigrant rights began after mass factory immigration sweeps took place in Michigan. He became actively involved in immigrant rights organizations and served as a panelist in a workshop designed to inform immigrants of their constitutional rights.
Mr. Lopez is currently an attorney volunteer for the non-profit organization, Community Lawyers, which provides legal services to low income members of the community.
While in law school, a panel of law professors awarded him the Distinguished Student of Character and Integrity Award.
