Stan Weiner has substantial experience representing corporate clients in complex labor and employment matters. His extensive wage and hour litigation practice includes the defense of complex class, collective, and multiplaintiff claims involving alleged misclassification of the exempt status of positions as well as alleged off-the-clock work by nonexempt employees. He also regularly represents employers before the U.S. Department of Labor and state agencies in wage-hour administrative investigations and has extensive experience counseling clients on all aspects of wage and hour compliance.
Stan's practice includes the defense of employers in employee benefits, employment discrimination, and wrongful discharge litigation involving individual and class claims. He regularly represents employers in matters relating to union organizational campaigns, unfair labor practice proceedings, collective bargaining negotiations, and labor arbitration proceedings. Representative clients in recent public matters include National City Bank, Progressive Insurance, Catholic Healthcare Partners, Continental Tire, JPMorgan Chase, Verizon Wireless, Total Petrochemicals, and IBM.
Stan was named a "Client Service All-Star MVP" in a 2009 survey of outside counsel conducted by BTI Consulting Group. MVPs stand out for superior client service for two or more consecutive years. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and has lectured at seminars on various employment law topics, including employment discrimination and substance abuse issues.
