Rachel L. Weiner is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. She joined the firm in 2011.
Practice
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Weiner worked as a law clerk for the Hon. Sharon Prost of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and for the Hon. Freda L. Wolfson of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Past Experience
Prior to her clerkships, Ms. Weiner worked as a student attorney for the Criminal Division of DC Law Students in Court, representing indigents in DC Superior Court at arraignments, status and sentencing hearings and trial.
While pursuing her law degree, Ms. Weiner worked as a summer associate at Heller Ehrman, LLP, in Washington DC, and as a judicial intern for the Hon. Paul L. Friedman for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. She also taught constitutional law to Washington DC high school students as a Marshall-Brennan Fellow.
Ms. Weiner’s additional experience includes working as a law clerk for the Office of the Public Defender in Montgomery County, Maryland; as a case assistant/intern investigator for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia; as a consultant for Levick Strategic Communications and as an Office of Media Affairs intern for The White House, Executive Office of the President.
