Marvin Lizama came to the firm in 2006. He graduated from the University Of Tulsa College Of Law in 2006 as a member of the Order of Barristers and Phi Delta Phi. Marvin served as Managing Editor for the Tulsa Journal of Comparative & International Law, was the executive vice president for the Board of Advocates, and was a member of the executive cabinet for the Student Bar Association. He was a member of the traveling moot court team and was awarded the Lewis F. Powell Jr. medal for excellence in advocacy from the American College of Trial Lawyers for his achievements in the National Trial Competition in 2006.
Marvin Lizama graduated Magna Cum Laude from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Muskogee (Creek) Nation Tribal Court, and the Tulsa County Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the Oklahoma Association for Justice. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, the University Of Tulsa College Of Law Alumni Association, and is the president of the Tulsa non-profit The Coalition for the American Dream.
Marvin was honored as the Outstanding Young Lawyer in 2009 by the Tulsa County Bar Association; he was honored as the Outstanding Junior Alumnus in 2010 by the University Of Tulsa College Of Law; and he was honored as a Rising Star by the Oklahoma Super Lawyers publication in 2010. In 2012, Marvin was honored by the Greater Tulsa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for his exemplary leadership and commitment to community service.
