One of the founders of the firm in 1967, Sidney Weil has experience in a wide variety of litigated and transactional matters. Upon his graduation from law school, he taught at the University of Cincinnati College of Law for 17 years while also engaged in a full-time law practice. He has experience in college and university law, as well as public and administrative law. This includes the handling of contracts, competitive bidding, and institutional compliance matters. His practice also includes hospital, health care, constitutional, and municipal law, as well as the preparation of wills and estate planning.
Mr. Weil is a native Cincinnatian, and a graduate with honors from the University of Cincinnati (1950). He is licensed to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He was appointed Special Counsel to the Attorney General of Ohio in 1977, and has served in that capacity ever since. In addition, he has served as a member of the Hamilton County Board of Elections, the Board of Directors of the University of Cincinnati and as Vice Chair of the Greater Cincinnati Bicentennial Commission and Chair of the Tall Stacks Commission. Sidney Weil is a member of the Cincinnati and American Bar Associations and the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
