Mr. Altman has been helping individuals and businesses deal with bankruptcy problems for almost 20 years. Both creditors and debtors need assistance in negotiating disputes during the bankruptcy process. While negotiation is the preferred method for resolving bankruptcy matters, litigation is often necessary and Mr. Altman has litigated hundreds of cases before the bankruptcy courts in the State of Florida including stay litigation, actions to determine the dischargeability of debt and the confirmation of Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 plans. He has also participated in successfully mediating disputes in bankruptcy. Mr. Altman has been an active participant in the bankruptcy seminar sponsored by the Jacksonville Bankruptcy Bar Association and held at Sawgrass annually.
