Gregory Lewis is a staff attorney in the Securities Department at WilmerHale. He joined the firm in 2006.
Practice
Mr. Lewis focuses his practice on issues of e-discovery. Specifically, he works with other attorneys, litigation technology project managers, and paralegals on teams that manage electronic and other documents in large cases and investigations. Attorneys on these teams take a leadership role in the document control process, systematically tracking documents from preservation to collection and through review and production. They work with e-discovery vendors and their review and analytical tools; review documents; train and oversee other firm and contract attorneys who review documents; and partner with project managers to perform production quality control.
Mr. Lewis has direct experience with all aspects of the discovery process, particularly in connection with federal government investigations by the SEC and other agencies involving securities litigation, regulatory matters and company compliance policy violations. Mr. Lewis is experienced in conducting review of documents for attorney-client privilege and work product doctrine and creating privilege logs containing precise descriptions of withheld and redacted documents.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Lewis was an associate with a firm in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he conducted discovery for litigation in federal and state courts, presented oral arguments and assisted in preparing cases for trial. Previously, Mr. Lewis was a clerk for the Honorable Margherita Patti Worthington of the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas in Stroudsburg, PA, where he also served as an arbitrator for the court.
