Dr. Wang's focus at Jones Day is on U.S. patent preparation and prosecution.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Dr. Wang worked as an integrated circuits design engineer and a technical manager in the semiconductor industry and has more than 10 years of experience with the Electronics Research & Service Organization of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ERSO/ITRI), United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC), and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). He has designed or analyzed integrated circuits such as CPUs, microcontrollers, PC peripheral controllers, SRAMs, DRAMs, and flash memories. He also served as a design service manager at TSMC where he evaluated, signed up, and managed more than 20 third-party design service companies. In addition, Dr. Wang has more than four years of experience in the field of intellectual property. He was with Cochran Consulting in Richardson, Texas and with Pacific Patent Consulting in Irvine, California where his major tasks were patent infringement analysis, patent invalidity analysis, and patent prosecution.

Dr. Wang holds 14 patents in computer, electronics, and industrial design. He is also the author of six published thesis/papers and the Gold Award winner of the 1996 Industrial Design Excellence Award by IDSA.
