Fred is supervising partner of our Estates and Trusts, Elder Law, Tax Law, Commercial Real Estate and Corporate practices. Before practicing law, he acquired tax experience with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. He has taught Federal Income Tax, Accounting and Managerial Accounting to undergraduates at SUNY Albany in the School of Business and has taught Corporation Tax in the Masters program at SUNY Albany. He has also taught Accounting for Lawyers at Albany Law School.
Fred represents numerous real estate developers and corporate clients, as well as regularly provides estate planning, estate administration and Medicaid and other elder law services. Fred is a past President of the Albany County Bar Association, and he has also served as Chairman of the New York State Bar Association seminars on Corporate Document Drafting Techniques and Legal Problems Associated with Businesses. He was formerly a member of their panel on Forming and Advising the New York Not-for-Profit Organization.
An active member of our local community, Fred has served as President of Congregation Beth Emeth, Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, and B'nai B'rith. He served as Vice President of the Northeast Council of the Union for Reform Judaism and served on the National Board of the Union for Reform Judaism. He was also on the Boards of the B'nai B'rith Parkview Apartments for the elderly and the Shaker Ridge and Colonie Country Clubs. He is presently on the Board and Executive Committee of the Albany Institute of History and Art.
While in law school, Fred was a member of the Albany Law Review.
