Mary Ellen Waller has been a director and shareholder of the law firm Feinberg & Waller, APC since 2001. Ms. Waller manages and implements the law firm's procedures and polices. She has helped lead the firm from a general litigation practice to become one of Southern California's premier family law firms serving clients in complex family law litigation. Ms. Waller is admitted to practice law in both the state of New York (since 1985) and the state of California (since 1990). Her undergraduate degree is in Communications, with a specialty in Journalism, from Hofstra University.
Ms. Waller received her law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, at Yeshiva University in Manhattan, New York. She has extensive business management and litigation experience in both the state of New York and California. She has also planned, designed, overseen, and implemented large-scale remodels and construction of several commercial and residential real estate properties, including the current offices of Feinberg & Waller (view offices.); This has given her a unique perspective and experience in areas of law related to property construction, division of assets and the special circumstances facing many divorcing spouses at the conclusion of their divorce.
Ms. Waller serves on the Pierce College advisory panel for the Computer Applications and Office Technologies Department. She assists the Pierce College committee in developing curriculum for future office professionals in the contemporary workplace, advising on office procedures, software, equipment, and technological advances.
Ms. Waller is an elected member of the Cowboy Lawyers Association, an organization of judges and lawyers who ride horses and share a love of the old west. She is an active volunteer in her local neighborhood community. Mary Ellen has received several community service awards, including the Star award, in recognition of outstanding community service from her local community. She is also an elected member of the National Charity League, Inc, a non-profit national organization committed to fostering mother-daughter relationships through community service, leadership development and cultural experience.
