Her cases include clients in Texas, Georgia, California, Florida and Minnesota.
Since 2004, Leger has been selected as a Texas Super Lawyers and a Texas Rising Star since 2004, by Thomson Reuters and Texas Monthly Magazine, an honor reserved for only five percent of lawyers on the state. She is admitted to practice law by the State of Texas; the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas; the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Texas; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th District Court.
A graduate of Baylor University, Leger completed her jurisdoctor at Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas. She holds professional memberships in the State Bar of Texas, the Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association, the Jefferson County Bar Association, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.
Leger has represented local small businesses in litigation. In 2011, she represented a construction company as plaintiff in a breach of contract case. The company was not fully paid the contract price for construction of a raw-water intake facility built as part of a hydrocarbons storage unit. The defendant claimed they did not owe any additional money because construction work was defective. To defeat the defendant's claims, Leger became familiar with national petroleum and welding codes and represented her client without hiring an independent expert. The unanimous jury awarded all damages sought by Leger's client. The verdict was selected as a Texas Top Verdict for 2011.
In addition to her trial work, Mrs. Leger has argued before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Texas Supreme Court.
