Matthew E. Van Gieson joined the firm in December 2008. Prior to joining the firm he worked at the largest firm in South King County. There he managed various client matters from initial contact to settlement in both Spanish and English. Also while there he occasionally co-hosted a Spanish radio show directed at bringing answers and guidance to the Hispanic community.
In law school Seattle University chose him to represent the school in the 2004 ABA Negotiation Competition in Canada and at the 2006 legal exchange with University of Central America in Managua, Nicaragua. The Nicaraguan experience exposed Mr. Van Gieson to a country that operates under the Civil Law regime, the world's predominant system of law.
Mr. Van Gieson now devotes his practice to vigorously advocating for clients whose lives have been jolted by unanticipated events, such as automobile accidents. He is an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice and he is admitted to practice in State of Washington as well as the United States Western District Federal Court.
