Monty started his law practice at Brewster & De Angelis since graduating from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1997. His practice ranges widely from complex civil litigation to criminal defense. He has participated in high-profile defenses of former District Court Judge James Hogue and Jamie Nicole Chambers. Each case resulted in an acquittal and has since become two of this firm's most dramatic and recognized criminal defense victories. On the civil side, Monty varies his practice from catastrophic personal injuries and wrongful death to commercial and business litigation. In addition to the State of Oklahoma, Monty has prosecuted civil cases in Texas and Missouri.
Monty graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. In 1997 he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law. During law school Monty was a member of the Energy Law Journal and competed with the Board of Advocates Mock Trial Teams. He is a member of American, Oklahoma State and Tulsa County Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice and Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association.
Monty is admitted to practice before the Oklahoma Bar and United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.
