Greg advises clients regarding wills, revocable trusts, generation-skipping trusts, family partnerships and other estate planning techniques to preserve assets and minimize taxes. He also advises individual and institutional clients regarding the creation and administration of tax-exempt organizations and charitable trusts.
In his practice, Greg works with a variety of nonprofit clients, including community foundations and private foundations. He regularly counsels nonprofit organizations on tax, governance and administrative issues. He also provides nonprofit clients with advice on the creation and administration of charitable trusts, pooled income funds and other charitable gift programs.
Greg is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Ramsey County, Minnesota State and American Bar associations. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Minnesota Super Lawyers, and designated a "Top 40 Estate and Planning Attorney" by Minnesota Law & Politics .
Greg is admitted to all Minnesota state and federal courts, as well as the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. He lectures frequently on topics associated with estate planning, tax-exempt organizations and charitable gifts.
Born in Litchfield, Minnesota, Greg graduated magna cum laude from St. Olaf College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School. Greg joined Briggs in 1999.
