Joseph Krummel started working at Ween & Kozek in 2012. Prior to joining the firm he worked for the municipal workers' union, D.C.37, providing representation in landlord-tenant matters for the Union's members. Mr. Krummel also worked at the NYC Bar Association where he provided legal advice on issues such as bankruptcy, debtor/creditor issues, custody and visitation disputes, social security, and landlord/tenant matters. Prior to this, Mr. Krummel worked for the New York Legal Assistance Group, Legal Health Unit, where he worked with doctors and their patients providing assistance with health care directives, government benefits and landlord/tenant matters. Since 2000, Mr. Krummel has represented hundreds of tenants throughout New York City in all types of housing related litigation.
Mr. Krummel has assisted clients with a diverse set of needs such as government benefits, creditor/debtor issues, bankruptcy, health care directives, special-education, child custody & visitation, and public utilities. He also directed the Family Court Mediation Project- mediating custody and visitation disputes in the Bronx County Family Court as a licensed mediator.
Mr. Krummel has a thorough background of experience with all stages of litigation regarding landlord/tenant matters in New York City Civil Court as well as administrative hearings. He has experience with rent control, rent stabilization, Mitchell-Lama housing, H.D.F.C. co-ops, and other government funded housing programs, public housing, and supportive housing for the elderly and infirm.
Mr. Krummel graduated in 2000 from Fordham University's School of Law and is admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
