Pete's concentration on criminal law includes state and federal criminal trials and appeals as well as juvenile delinquency matters. Pete also represents individuals and entities in regulatory matters (such as professional license investigations and/or prosecutions). Pete additionally practices family law, including divorce, support and custody, as well as multiple types of civil litigation.
Prior to joining MacElree Harvey, Pete was a partner in a private law practice which concentrated exclusively on criminal cases at the state and federal court level. Before going into private practice, Pete served as an Assistant Public Defender with the Chester County Public Defender's Office.
Recent Representations
- Client accused of fraud related offense. With help of investigator, developed evidence that Commonwealth witness was fabricating. Witness confronted with fabrications through cross-examination. Case withdrawn by Commonwealth; arrest records expunged.
- Client acquitted by jury of DUI.
- Client accused of assault. Judge granted Pre-Trial Motion and dismissed the charge.
- Client accused of theft of items from workplace. Successfully prevailed upon Commonwealth to withdraw the charges.
- Represented multiple clients charged with criminal summary offenses (i.e., Underage Drinking) calling for the collateral consequence of a license suspension. Successfully avoided these convictions and license suspensions by way of negotiating with officers and Commonwealth and/or gaining acquittals after Summary Trial.
