Dr. Theodoros Konstantakopoulos is a senior technology specialist in the firm's Intellectual Property Department. He joined the firm in 2007. Dr. Konstantakopoulos' practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patents in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science. He assists in patent due diligence investigations and patent litigation.
Practice
Dr. Konstantakopoulos has experience in semiconductor design and development, as well as computer hardware and software research and research into digital integrated circuits and systems. During his graduate studies, Dr. Konstantakopoulos worked with Cypress Semiconductor in Nashua, New Hampshire, where he developed a control network for programmable devices, performed timing and energy analysis and performed a design and feasibility study for differential design logic.
Dr. Konstantakopoulos has seven years of research experience in the electrical engineering and computer science fields, as a graduate student at MIT. Most recently, during his doctoral studies, he served as a research assistant in the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory working in the Computer Architecture Group. He conducted his research for his M.S. degree in the Microsystems Technology Laboratory working in the Digital Integrated Circuits and Systems Group from 2000-2003. As an undergraduate student, he performed research for his thesis on software and hardware co-design techniques.
Professional Activities
Dr. Konstantakopoulos has served as a teaching assistant for electrical engineering and computer science courses at MIT, lecturing in the undergraduate course “Introductory Digital Systems Laboratory” and the graduate course “Analysis and Design of Digital Integrated Circuits” course. He was also a teaching assistant in physics at the University of Patras in Greece.
