Thomas, Nathan

Adam Thayne was born and raised in the Phoenix, Arizona suburb of Glendale. Upon completion of high school, Adam studied at Brigham Young University where he majored in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. Following his first year of college, Adam completed a two-year church mission as a Spanish-speaking missionary in southern New Jersey. Upon returning to Brigham Young University, Adam completed internships for the Washington, D.C. Office of the Corporation Counsel and the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, Scotland. He also worked as a research assistant to one of his professors at Brigham Young University, Dr. Kendall Stiles. Adam and Dr. Stiles co-authored an article on an international law subject that was eventually published in a respected international law journal.

Following graduation, Mr. Thayne continued his education at the Willamette University College of Law where he graduated with his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. During law school he worked for the Oregon Department of Justice before working for a private firm in downtown Portland. As a third-year law student, Adam made frequent court appearances and conducted jury trials. Furthermore, as a Spanish-speaker, Adam enjoyed working with several Spanish-speaking clients.

After law school, Mr. Thayne had the privilege of working as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Angel Lopez of the Multnomah County Circuit Court. This experience allowed Adam to learn how the court system operates and how a courtroom is run through hands-on experience. He witnessed first-hand how seasoned lawyers conduct themselves in various types of criminal and civil hearings and has now incorporated those skills into his own practice. Under the mentorship of Judge Lopez, Adam learned how to effectively prepare and present a case.

As an attorney with the Short Law Group, P.C., Adam uses his legal skills and courtroom knowledge for the benefit of his clients. Specializing primarily in bankruptcy and criminal defense, Adam views himself as one who offers sound legal advice and representation to achieve the best possible results for his clients. He truly cares about the people he represents.
