Mrs. Teasdale's work is primarily focused on the defense of energy services companies against claims brought under maritime law, the Jones Act, and the Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act.
Prior to joining Brown Sims, Mrs. Teasdale was a felony prosecutor for the Harris County District Attorney's Office, assigned to the trial bureau. As an Assistant District Attorney, she developed a reputation among the criminal defense bar as being a "firm but fair prosecutor" with a "rational and reasonable approach" to negotiating cases. Mrs. Teasdale brings this extensive trial and investigative experience to each case at Brown Sims.
Mrs. Teasdale received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Baylor University in 2002, and her Juris Doctorate from the Baylor School of Law in 2005. She was admitted to practice law in the State of Texas in 2006 and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas in 2009. Mrs. Teasdale is also a member of the Texas Bar Association and the Houston Bar Association. When not litigating, Mrs. Teasdale enjoys the outdoors with her husband and Labrador puppy.
