Wes Kittleman was raised in Dallas, Texas. After graduation from law school in 1980, he practiced tax law for a large firm in Houston, Texas. In 1983, Wes and his family moved to McAllen, Texas where he joined the Atlas & Hall law firm. In 1985, Wes started his own law firm within another local attorney, Mark Schwarz. Over the next thirteen years that firm grew to more than 10 lawyers and went through several name changes. In 1998, several partners and associates from that firm merged with the firm of Thomas and Ramirez, P.C. to form what is now Kittleman, Thomas & Gonzales, LLP. From 1985 to this date, Wes has served as the managing partner of each of the above named law firms.
Wes is the firm's senior transactional lawyer. Besides doing a significant amount of commercial lending work for the firms numerous banking clients, Wes represents a number of local commercial and residential developers who have been building in the Rio Grande Valley area of South Texas for the last 25 years. Wes is experienced in all facets of real estate law. Wes also represents the owners of numerous small to large local businesses operating in this area, assisting these business owners with resolving the day to day legal issues they face.
Wes obtained his under graduate and law school degrees from the University of Texas at Austin (BS in 1974) and (JD in 1980). Wes graduated from law school with high honors and was a member of Chancellors and Order of the Coif. Wes is a life member of the UT Ex-Student Association and has served several terms, as an officer of the Hidalgo County branch of the Texas Ex-student Association, including one year as president. Wes is an avid fan of all things "UT" related.
Wes feels a deep commitment to the community and the people who live and work in the Rio Grande Valley. Wes has served on the Board of Directors of several charitable organizations, including serving as President of the Board of Directors of the Valley Land Fund, Inc. and the Historical Museum of South Texas, Inc. Wes is also a two time president of the McAllen Country Club.
Wes is married to Patsy Ramirez. Wes and Patsy have six children (3 boys, 3 girls) ranging in age from 18 to 29. In his spare time, Wes loves to hunt and to just enjoy the beauty that is the Rio Grande Valley.
