Attorney Rhett L. Tauber is President and Senior Partner of Tauber Westland & Bennett P.C.
Rhett Tauber's practice consists of Personal Injury, Litigation, School Law, Banking Law, Real Estate Transactions, Municipal Law, Corporate Law and Litigation.
In 1971, Rhett graduated from Valparaiso University with a B.A. in Government and Spanish. He went on to receive his J.D. at Valparaiso University School of Law in 1974, graduating magna cum laude.
Upon receiving his J.D., Rhett joined the American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association, the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. To this day, he remains a member of each of these associations.
In 1974, Rhett was admitted to the Indiana State Bar Association and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Four years later, he was admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals 7th Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court in 1981.
Rhett L. Tauber was born in Hammond, Indiana, and graduated from Highland High School. Rhett is the proud father of four children, Tara, Justin, Brandon and Jared. Rhett is an avid Indiana University soccer fan since his two sons, Justin and Brandon, were members of the 1998 and 1999 Indiana University soccer teams that were the NCAA Men's Soccer Champions. Rhett also enjoys following the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Cubs.
