Fritz Klantschi works exclusively in intellectual property law. His practice includes patent prosecution of U.S., PCT, and foreign applications. He also provides legal opinions regarding patent validity, patent infringement, and freedom-to-operate issues. Fritz has experience in a wide range of technologies in the mechanical and electrical arts as well as business methods. The representative arts that Fritz works with include medical devices (spinal implant devices, trauma devices, drug-coated stents, medical gas distribution systems, and apparatuses detecting cardiac events), inkjet printers, image data transmission devices, liquid crystal display devices, lighting assemblies, virtual networks, WLANS, integrated circuits, optical network systems, holographic imaging, air filtration devices, lighters, electronic banking, and wagering systems.
Prior to attending law school, Fritz worked for Hughes Aircraft Company (which later became Raytheon Systems) as a senior development engineer and quality assurance engineer. There his responsibilities ranged from conducting logistic support analysis on U.S. military systems to hardware and software design reviews for the Canadian and Military Automated Air Traffic Systems. Fritz also led a team of software engineers designing and implementing a real-time information system.
Fritz is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the New York Intellectual Property Law Association.
