Jerimy joined the firm in the fall of 2010. His background is in Bankruptcy, mortgage mediation, short-sales, and Business Reorganization. Since joining the firm, Jerimy has successfully reorganized or otherwise successfully resolved two major Chapter 11 business filings and currently has three additional reorganizations he is currently involved in. Successfully reorganizing under Chapter 11 is considered rare and businesses only have a 30% chance of getting through to the adopted plan, so his skills have been demonstrated early. He is also proficient in consumer reorganizations and liquidations under Chapters 7 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. His emphasis is on using a little-known exemption for business to help business owners avoid Chapter 13 reorganization and liquidate under Chapter 7. The use of the business bankruptcy exception should always be considered for small business owners, but few bankruptcy attorneys competently handle such matters as they see them infrequently. Jerimy does these successfully on a regular basis. Jerimy is a native of Las Vegas and attended Law School at UNLV. He is married and has two children.
