Michael joined Serrins Fisher LLP in May 2012. Before joining the firm, Michael worked for a boutique New York based law practice where he represented hundreds of employees on an individual and class-wide basis in bringing claims for unpaid minimum wages, unpaid overtime, unpaid prevailing and union wages and benefits, unlawful deductions, tip-skimming, retaliatory termination, unlawful collection of franchise fees under the New York State Franchise Act, forced kickbacks under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and breach of contract. Michael also litigated cases involving sexual harassment, age discrimination, national origin discrimination and race discrimination.
Michael graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a member of the Journal of Law & Gender. During law school, Michael interned for the Honorable Leon Ruchelsman, Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, and obtained significant litigation experience during an internship for a premier employment law firm.
Michael is admitted to the state bars of New York and New Jersey and is admitted to practice before the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He is also a member of the New York City Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association/New York. Michael lives in Manhattan with his wife and two young children.
