Timothy Syrett is a counsel in the Litigation/Controversy and Regulatory and Government Affairs Departments, and a member of the Business Trial Group and Antitrust and Competition Practice Group. He joined the firm in 2008.
Past Experience
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Syrett was an associate at a firm in New York, where he contributed to matters including defending a software company in state court antitrust actions, defending an investment bank in a putative securities class action, representing a rating agency in investigations by state attorneys general and the SEC regarding subprime credit ratings, and representing a trustee in a suit challenging the constitutionality of a state tax statute.
From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Syrett was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Nicholas Garaufis for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. During law school, he was a member of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau and also completed an internship with the Division of Enforcement for the New York Stock Exchange.
