Wayne Szeto practices intellectual property law with a focus on patent prosecution in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Prior to practicing law, Wayne worked as a research associate in the department of molecular oncology at Genentech. His work focused on the identification and evaluation of tumor antigens as targets for antibody and small molecule-based cancer therapeutics. His research experience also includes investigating the impact of defects in the Wnt-1 signaling pathway in various cancers. His graduate research focused on the molecular and genetic control of meristem identity in the model organism Arabidopsis thaliana.
