Troy L. Kessler is a partner at Shulman Kessler LLP. He has extensive experience in representing employees who have been the victims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, overtime and minimum wage violations.
Mr. Kessler is licensed to practice law in the State of New York. He is also admitted in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He received his law degree from Loyola University School of Law Chicago. Mr. Kessler received his bachelor's degree in Political Science and History from the University of Wisconsin.
Mr. Kessler is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, National Employment Lawyers Association/New York, the American Bar Association - Labor & Employment Section, Federal Bar Council, the Federal Bar Association - EDNY Chapter, and the Suffolk County Bar Association. He has been named to the NY SuperLawyers as one of the top attorneys in New York State for 2012.
Mr. Kessler has spoken at CLE events sponsored by the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association, on topics covering wage-and-hour litigation, the white-collar exemptions to the FLSA, and drafting and negotiating proper settlement agreements. Presently, he is serving as the Co-chair of the Suffolk County Bar Association's Labor & Employment Committee.
Further, Mr. Kessler is a mentor with the Nassau County Bar Association. As a mentor, he works with children at a local middle school, where he and other attorneys volunteer their time to provide children in need with positive adult role models.
