Gary P. Supanich is a top-flight Michigan appellate specialist and legal consultant with over 20 years' experience in state and federal courts. Based in Ann Arbor, he provides his clients with effective written and oral advocacy at the appellate level. Mr. Supanich regularly appears in the Michigan Supreme Court and Michigan Court of Appeals, and the federal Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit; he is also admitted to practice in all Michigan state courts, the Federal courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third and Seventh Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Supanich concentrates on civil appeals in the areas of corporate/commercial, civil rights, employment, personal injury, property, real estate, tax assessment, divorce, and constitutional law. In addition, he provides litigation/trial support services (e.g., brief writing, motion practice, legal research, legal strategies and arguments) to trial attorneys, particularly in complex litigation. Mr. Supanich also represents clients in criminal appeals and habeas petitions in state and federal courts. He is available for legal consulting and as an expert witness in civil and criminal matters.
Before entering private practice in 2004, Mr. Supanich was a senior staff attorney with the Michigan Court of Appeals for over 12 years and also a law clerk for Judge Eric L. Clay of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Mr. Supanich is a graduate of Wayne State University Law School; he also has a M.A. from the University of Chicago (philosophy) and a B.A. from Michigan State University (philosophy).
