Bob Katz has more than 20 years of technical experience in the development of electronic systems involving real-time embedded systems, systems architecture, and computer software. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked as a senior software architect and developer of statistical software algorithms for the medical industry at Martingale Research Corporation from 2001 to 2006. From 1999 to 2001, Bob was a consultant with Strategic Solutions Group where he developed customized provisioning and billing systems for Web service providers. He led a software engineering team at Eclectic Computing Concepts from 1998 to 1999 in the development of a classified defense system. And he worked with Raytheon Systems Company from 1985 to 1998 as a systems engineering specialist where he designed and fielded several custom computing solutions for the defense industry.
Since joining Jones Day, Bob has represented clients in matters involving Internet technologies, cellular phones, computer software, semiconductor production, and multimedia receivers.
Bob is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Dallas Bar Association.
