Bob is a lifelong resident of York County, Pennsylvania. He graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Degree in American History and from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Having lived his entire life in York County, he is particularly attuned to the people and the local business environment. His long professional relationships with York County’s municipal officials allow him to work very efficiently on behalf of his clients.
Bob was the Assistant City Solicitor for the City of York for three years, during which time he was responsible for the enforcement of all zoning, building, housing, electrical and plumbing codes. Immediately thereafter, he was chosen to be the Solicitor of the City of York, a position he held for twelve years. During this time, in addition to all other duties required of the chief legal officer of the City, he continued to be responsible for enforcement and interpretation of all zoning, building and land regulation ordinances.
Bob has shown a lifelong commitment to community service as well as to the practice of law. He has been on the Board of Directors of the White Rose Foundation, York College Alumni Association, Leadership York and York County Parks Board. Professionally, he has served on the Board of Directors of both the York County Bar Association and York County Bar Foundation. He has had the honor of being elected and serving as both President of the Bar Association and President of the Bar Foundation.
He has served as President of Consistory of Trinity United Church of Christ, as well as one of the Church’s Trustees, overseeing not only the Church’s activities and finances, but that of the Prospect Hill Cemetery, one of York’s most prized historical assets.
