Ms. Kander advises clients on real estate and loan transactions. In doing so she prepares documents such as leases, sales agreements, easements, and loan documents such as notes and collateral documents.
Ms. Kander dedicates a large portion of her practice to representing government agencies, developers and other individuals before the state legislatures of Missouri and Kansas, administrative bodies, the executive branch, and municipal and county governments. She has also spent time working with the Washington DC affiliate of Lathrop & Gage by assisting in the lobbying efforts of major Midwest companies before the U.S. Congress. This work includes finding and advocating for new funding opportunities for special projects and monitoring critical developments in specific areas of the law.
Ms. Kander counsels clients and drafts documents to facilitate general business matters including the formation of business entities, tax consequences of business decisions, employment contracts, asset acquisition and disposition, dissolution, and other fundamental business changes.
Ms. Kander is also an adjunct professor of Political Science at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
