Jeff Johnson is a partner in the firm's Corporate and Transactional and Intellectual Property Departments, and a member of the Technology Transactions and Licensing Practice Group. He joined the firm in 1999.
Practice
Mr. Johnson represents public and private clients, from large public companies to new start-ups, in the solar, biofuels, hardware, software, data, internet, financial and other markets.
Mr. Johnson’s practice focuses on technology and patent licensing, joint ventures and collaboration agreements, domestic and international distribution and reseller agreements, outsourcing agreements, services and consulting agreements, and acquisition and sale of technology assets. His technology licensing practice involves negotiations and drafting of hardware, software, data and other intellectual property licenses; development agreements; manufacturing agreements; sales representative agreements; hosted service agreements; ‘Software as a Service’ contracts; internet advertising and use agreements and related arrangements. He also advises clients generally on the protection and commercialization of intellectual property assets.

Prior to joining the firm in 1999, Mr. Johnson was associated with another firm, where he represented a number of large and small public corporations in general corporate and securities matters.
Professional Activities
Mr. Johnson is a member of the American Bar Association and the Licensing Executives Society. Mr. Johnson has been Co-Chair of the Boston Chapter of the Licensing Executives Society since 2007.
