Renato Stabile has worked with Gerald Lefcourt since 1999 and has more than 10 years of legal experience, focusing on criminal defense at the trial and appellate level in federal and state court. Mr. Stabile represents individuals and corporations prosecuted by the government in a variety of criminal matters, including charges of securities fraud, mail and wire fraud, money laundering, RICO, labor racketeering, extortion, embezzlement, bid rigging, political corruption, gambling, murder, assault, narcotics offenses, and NYC quality of life crimes and violations. He has successfully argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals and the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, and has been involved in both state and federal trials from inception to verdict. Mr. Stabile successfully represented hip-hop mogul Irv Gotti on federal money laundering charges and recently obtained the reversal of a multimillion dollar federal fraud conviction because of government misconduct in a case involving the sale of rare antique Colt firearms.
Mr. Stabile is a 1993 graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton (B.S. Biology) and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law (J.D. 1997), where he was a member of the Innocence Project. He is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
