Mr. Jewett represents and advises clients in a wide range of employment law matters through litigation in state and federal courts as well as administrative and grievance hearings. He also advises clients with respect to various employment, compensation, and severance agreements. Mr. Jewett regularly represents former employees in administrative hearings before the Virginia Employment Commission, where he has enjoyed a high success rate.
Mr. Jewett received his J.D. from Regent University School of Law in 2008, where he was a brief writer for Regent’s nationally recognized moot court team. Mr. Jewett’s brief at the 2007-2008 American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition was awarded the Best Brief at the Washington, D.C. Regional, where his team went on to be Regional Champions. Mr. Jewett received his B.A. from Eastern Illinois University in 2005, where he was a leader in the Student Senate and served as a student member of the university’s budget and planning committee. Mr. Jewett is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, and the Virginia Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in all Virginia courts as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
