Sonya Smallets is a partner in Minnis & Smallets. Prior to joining Minnis & Smallets, Sonya was an associate of Lawless & Lawless, where she successfully represented individuals who had been discriminated, harassed, wrongfully terminated, or denied reasonable accommodations by their employers. Sonya graduated Swarthmore College and Berkeley Law School. She then clerked for Judge Sidney Thomas of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge Claudia Wilken of the Northern District of California. Sonya was selected as a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star in 2012, an honor awarded to the nation’s best lawyers under 40.

Sonya is a member of the California Employment lawyers Association and San Francisco Trial Lawyer’s Association.
