Erin Sloane is a counsel in the firm's Litigation/Controversy and Securities Departments, and a member of the Investigations and Criminal Litigation and Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice Groups. She joined the firm in 2004.
Practice
Ms. Sloane's practice focuses on government and internal investigations and white collar criminal matters. She has represented institutions and individuals in complex investigations involving financial and accounting fraud, insider trading, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) violations. Ms. Sloane regularly counsels clients on challenging FCPA issues in a variety of business contexts, including the development and implementation of effective anti-corruption compliance programs. In 2007, Ms. Sloane was seconded to a major pharmaceutical client to assist in developing its internal investigations group. She is also active in several pro bono matters.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Sloane clerked for The Honorable Michael Daly Hawkins of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
