Marshall Humphrey III devotes his practice primarily to general insurance defense litigation. He has successfully tried numerous civil jury trials in state and federal courts involving personal injury, product liability, wrongful death, medical and professional malpractice and insurance bad faith. Marshall is an Arizona native and has practiced law in Tucson since 1977. He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Marshall has testified as an expert witness in personal injury evaluation and insurance coverage litigation in state and federal courts. He is also well known as a lecturer on insurance law, having presented a number of seminars to attorneys, insurance companies and adjusters. He has participated in numerous mediations and served as an arbitrator in significant third party and first party cases. He has represented both insurers and insureds in bad faith/insurance disputes and has represented both injured parties and defendants in personal injury cases.
He earned his law degree from the University of Arizona, where he also received his undergraduate degree. Marshall was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 1977. He is a member of the Pima County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Arizona Association of Defense Counsel, and the Tucson Defense Bar. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Tucson Defense Bar and served as its president for 1997-98. He served as a board member for the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel from 1993-2003 and was its President for the 2001-2002 term. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
