Mr. Hughey’s practice focuses primarily in the areas of taxation, oil and gas, estate planning, real estate and general corporate law. Brandon graduated from Samford University in 2001, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. He received his J.D. from the University of Alabama in 2004 and thereafter obtained an LL.M. in Taxation with Honors from Northwestern University in 2005. As an adjunct professor, he taught Advanced Federal Taxation at the University of Mobile in the fall semester of 2012. Brandon has been an active member of the Executive Committee of the Alabama State Bar Young Lawyers Section for a number of years, currently serving as its Secretary, and is also an Alabama delegate to the Young Lawyers Section of the American Bar Association. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Brandon is also involved in a number of community organizations and is a participant in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Brandon is a member of the Tax and Young Lawyers Sections of the American Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of Mobile, and the Mobile County Bar Association Probate Section. He has been licensed to practice in Alabama since 2004.
