Aravella Simotas focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation. She has developed a broad range of skills representing clients in both federal and state courts on various matters spanning corporate governance to housing discrimination disputes.
Ms. Simotas received her bachelor of arts degree, summa cum laude, from Fordham University in 1999 and her juris doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law in 2002. During law school, Ms. Simotas served as the managing editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Journal.
Currently, Ms. Simotas serves as a member of the New York State Assembly. Before joining Bickel & Brewer, Ms. Simotas clerked at the U.S. Court of International Trade where she focused on U.S. international trade law disputes between the United States and private parties.
Ms. Simotas is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District and Eastern District of New York, and the United States Court of International Trade. She is a member of the New York County Lawyer's Association, Queens County Bar Association, Hellenic Lawyer's Association and PRLDEF.
