MELANIE HUBBARD honed her legal analysis skills while serving as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable LeRoy F. Millette, Jr., both while he was a Judge on the Court of Appeals of Virginia and when he later became a Supreme Court of Virginia Justice.  Ms. Hubbard enjoys analyzing how the law applies to various factual scenarios presented by domestic relations cases.  Ms. Hubbard has long taken pleasure in writing and has a concise, to-the-point approach to presenting cases.

Ms. Hubbard has successfully litigated numerous custody and support cases, negotiated property settlement agreements and heads up the Firm’s complex adoption and appellate practice.  She received her B.A. from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University and her law degree from George Mason University School of Law.  After obtaining her J.D., Ms. Hubbard began practicing family law at a Fairfax County law firm before serving as Justice Millette’s judicial law clerk for two and a half years.  She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Fairfax Bar Association and its Family Law Section. Ms. Hubbard resides in Vienna with her husband and their young son.
