David L. Horne, a Shareholder, of Pender & Coward, P.C., leads the Disability Law Group of the firm. He focuses his practice in the following areas:
• Social Security Disability (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
• Virginia Retirement System Disability (VRS)
• Long Term Disability Insurance Plans and Policies and including ERISA Disability Plans

Since 1975, Mr. Horne has focused his practice in claims involving the medical issues relating to injury and disability. He has represented the injured and disabled in state and Federal Court and in many types of administrative proceedings seeking compensation for injuries and disability benefits. With his medical-legal knowledge, he is able to work closely with our client’s physicians in developing our presentation of the claim.
He has more than thirty five (35) years of experience in representing people with injuries and disabilities. Because of his experience in personal injury and workers’ compensation law he is able to sort through the complex inter relationship between many disability programs and plans.
