Shuler, Timothy S

Kelly Shoop is a senior associate in the firm's Securities Department, and a member of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2007.

Practice

Ms. Shoop focuses her practice on securities litigation and enforcement matters, and has experience in internal investigations. She has represented clients in civil litigation involving securities law and breach of fiduciary duty claims. Ms. Shoop has also represented clients before the Securities and Exchange Commission in both investigations and litigated actions concerning allegations of accounting fraud and disclosure improprieties.

Past Experience

While in law school, Ms. Shoop completed an internship at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri and studied for a semester at the National University of Singapore.

Before commencing her legal career, Ms. Shoop held several positions in the classical music field. From 2000 to 2003, Ms. Shoop was Artistic Coordinator for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, where she negotiated contracts and developed programs as the manager of a presentations series. Prior to that, Ms. Shoop was at Colbert Artists Management in New York City, where she booked concert engagements for a number of internationally-known musicians.

Ms. Shoop is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
