Short, J. Lindsey

Maurice Holman was raised in Lockport, Illinois, and attended Lockport Township High School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana – Champaign College of Law.

Mr. Holman worked for a private law firm in DuPage County after law school, handling various litigation and administrative law matters. He opened Holman Counsel P.C. in January of 2012, to focus his practice on litigation.

Mr. Holman is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and various other civic and volunteer organizations. He resides in Wheaton with his wife and two children.

Practice Experience :

Maurice Holman is an Illinois attorney with an active practice in litigation proceedings before Illinois state and US District Court, as well as in administrative proceedings before state and federal government agencies.

Mr. Holman also assists clients in a wide variety of family, criminal and real estate matters.  In addition, has experience in a variety of small business industries, including property management, manufacturing, restaurants, and construction. In addition he has experience through trial in a number of civil litigation matters, including contracts, negligence, divorce, and collection issues. Prior to forming Holman Counsel P.C. Mr. Holman worked as an attorney in private practice for a DuPage County law firm.
