Felicia Shaman has practiced in the area of family, dependency and appellate law for the past fourteen years. Ms. Shaman has experience in all aspects of these areas and is committed to providing legal representation, advocacy, and resolution to her clients.
During college and law school, Ms. Shaman worked in pre-schools and then ran her own family day care center. Ms. Shaman became a foster parent during law school, which sparked her interest in advocating for children and parents.
Ms. Shaman has experience as a guardian ad litem, both as a professional and as a volunteer, and as an attorney ad litem.
Ms. Shaman argued the constitutionality of a state statute involving parents’ rights before the Florida Supreme Court in Florida Department of Children and Families v. F.L., 880 So. 2d 602 (FL 2004).
Ms. Shaman will continue to combine her strong advocacy skills with compassion for the difficult situations that families face to help them come to resolution.
