Shakoori, Rachelle

Randy Seybold is a senior associate in the firm's Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Business Trial Group. He joined the firm in 2006.

Practice

Mr. Seybold’s litigation practice includes experience with a wide variety of complex commercial disputes, including contract disputes and intellectual property disputes. He has represented major corporations, small businesses, educational institutions, and individuals in proceedings before federal and state courts and in arbitration. He also has experience representing corporate clients in government investigations and internal investigations.

Mr. Seybold shares the firm's commitment to pro bono work. He has represented clients on a pro bono basis in Veterans’ Benefits Claims, FTCA claims, criminal matters involving claims of actual innocence, and civil and criminal matters alleging violations of state and federal wiretapping statutes.

• Representing a military subcontractor in a multi-million dollar dispute with the government’s prime contractor.
• Representing plaintiffs in a federal tort action based on the injuries to and death of a prisoner in federal custody.
• Representing a major telecommunications carrier in a multidistrict class action litigation raising important issues of federal statutory and constitutional law.
• Represented a lending corporation in a significant criminal investigation by federal regulators and prosecutors.
• Represented a software company in obtaining summary judgment of noninfringement in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
• Represented a non-profit organization in a government investigation involving alleged accounting improprieties.
