Gregory F. Ahrens is in his eleventh year as a Partner with Wood, Herron & Evans. His expertise is concentrated in intellectual property litigation, although he oversees others in all phases of the firms intellectual property practice, particularly in the chemical arts. In his litigation practice, Gregory has handled cases in various state courts and federal courts across the country, including the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Admitted to the Ohio and Wisconsin bars in 1987, Gregory is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, in various federal District Courts around the country, and in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Gregory is also listed in The Best Lawyers in America for 2006.
Gregory received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University Texas at Austin in 1983. He then obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1987, where he was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. He also served as Managing Editor of the Wisconsin International Law Journal.
Since joining Wood, Herron & Evans in 1987, Gregory has been an active member of the American, Ohio, Cincinnati and Wisconsin Bar Associations, the American and Cincinnati Intellectual Property Law Associations and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
